Our story
Polity Research is a UK IT solutions and services company. What began as an incubator for solutions to collective action problems has grown into a dedicated technology partner, offering bespoke systems development, product development and consultancy, including a fractional CTO service, to organisations that need more than a generic solution.
We believe the best answers to unique problems come from an interdisciplinary approach, one that draws on software architecture, data engineering, and even classic AI and logic programming, rather than reaching for the nearest off-the-shelf framework. That's how we find solutions others miss.
Dan Boresjo
Principal Software Developer & CTO
Leadership
Dan is a seasoned software professional with a 30-year track record of delivering full-cycle software development across finance, government, media and logistics, including as hands-on Chief Technology Officer. He is an expert in aligning technology strategy with business goals, leading high-performance teams, and delivering scalable, affordable solutions that create real competitive advantage.
His experience includes architecting enterprise authorisation platforms for Barclays, technical leadership on income tax systems for HMRC, and eight years as Principal Developer and CTO at White Bullet Solutions, where he built distributed low-latency APIs, machine learning risk-scoring pipelines, and led the company's cloud infrastructure and engineering practices. Earlier roles include high-availability identity systems at Sky and technical leadership at Zetes UK.
Dan holds a BEng (Hons) in Computer and Microelectronic Systems Engineering from the University of Liverpool, and is a maintainer of open-source projects including a comprehensive set of Google APIs in Scala.
